The 2022 season will be the eighth for Dan Andrews as the Foresters' head coach and his ninth on the coaching staff. It will also be his 15th year in the profession.

Lake Forest outscored Midwest Conference opponents 16-11 in the fall of 2021 and split eight league games to finish fifth in the standings. Forester goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski, defender Connor Keast, and midfielder Elliot Hull earned Second Team All-MWC accolades.

Under the direction of Andrews, the Foresters advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2015 and 2017 and claimed the program's league record 17th MWC title in 2016. The team is 63-51-5 overall and 40-14-0 in league play while outscoring opponents 246-172 during the last seven seasons. Lake Forest's scoring average of 2.76 goals per game in 2015 is the second-highest mark in team history and the squad's goalkeepers have recorded 29 shutouts in 119 games since Andrews took over as head coach.

Lake Forest players have now been named all-conference 26 times, MWC Offensive Player of the Year twice, and all-region seven times since Andrews became head coach. They have also earned 70 Academic All-MWC honors during that span, including a program record 19 (out of 26 players on the team) in 2019-20.

Andrews served as an assistant at the College during the 2014 season and helped lead Lake Forest to a 6-2-2 record in Midwest Conference play. He assisted the head coach in all facets of practice, game, and travel preparation, as well as with player development, recruiting, scouting, and maintaining the team's academic success.

Prior to joining the staff at Lake Forest, Andrews had coached at various levels, including high school, club and college. His experience at the collegiate level included three seasons as an assistant at Moody Bible Institute, his alma mater. Moody won a pair of regional titles and claimed the 2011 NCCAA National Championship during his time on staff.

A native of Leeds, England, Andrews played for Leeds United FC Youth Academy as a young teen before moving to the United States after high school. He scored 66 goals in four years at Moody Bible Institute and was a two-time All-American and two-year team captain.

Andrews, his wife Steph, and their children Harrison and Hallie reside in nearby Mundelein.
