Academic All-District® List for Men's Soccer Includes Four Foresters

College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2022 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams on Tuesday and four Foresters were recognized.

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must be starters or important reserves and have played in at least half of the team's contests at their position. They must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Lake Forest's honorees were senior Teddy Kolesnikov and juniors Sam Bickersteth, Elliot Hull, and Szymon Mocarski.

Kolesnikov is a finance major and three-time Academic All-Midwest Conference honoree. The defender had a goal and four assists and was named Second Team All-MWC while captaining the Foresters to a conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance this season.

Mocarski, a goalkeeper, was voted MWC Defensive Player of the Year this fall after leading the league with a 0.63 goals against average, .844 save percentage, and four shutouts in conference play. A neuroscience major, Kersting is also a three-time Academic All-MWC selection.

Hull received the MWC Elite 20 Award for owning the highest cumulative grade point average of any player at the four-team MWC Tournament. The forward and environmental studies major was a Second Team All-MWC and Academic All-MWC honoree last season and has 22 points on nine goals and four assists in his career.

Bickersteth is a midfielder and a double major in English Literature and philosophy. Like the others, he was named Academic All-MWC in 2021.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
