Junior Ifet Mrkalj scored the game-winning goal for the Lake Forest men's soccer team early in the second half of play against Knox College on Saturday. The Foresters needed just the one goal to secure the victory and beat the Prairie Fire 1-0.

Mrkalj's goal was set up for him by freshman Egan Reams during a offensive press in the 55th minute of play.

The Foresters out shot their opponents 12-7 and had slight advantages in shots on goal, taking three to the Prairie Fire's two. Lake Forest's four corner kicks were just more than Knox's attempts.

With their win, the Foresters clinched a spot in the Midwest Conference Tournament in November.

Lake Forest plays their last regular season game against Grinnell College on Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m.
