Foresters and Red Hawks Play to Scoreless Tie

The Lake Forest College men's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with visiting Ripon College on Tuesday.

The Foresters had a significant advantage in most statistical categories. They outshot the Red Hawks 20-8, put 13 shots on goal to Ripon's six, and attempted 17 corner kicks while conceding just three. The home team also possessed the ball 63 percent of the time.

Lake Forest junior goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski, who was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week yesterday, made five saves in his third career shutout.

The tie leaves Lake Forest with an overall record of 2-6-2 and a league mark of 1-0-1. Ripon is now 2-5-2 overall and also 1-0-1 in MWC play.

The Foresters will host Monmouth College for Parents Day at 11:00 Saturday morning.
