Lake Forest Finishes Out Season at Home Against Grinnell

The Lake Forest men's soccer team lost to Grinnell College in their final game of the season on Saturday. The Foresters lost 3-1 to the Pioneers.

Grinnell was first on the board and scored two goals in the first 45 minutes.

Lake Forest's sole goal of the game came during the 76th minute of play at the start of a Forester possession. The ball was punted close the goal and while heavily defended, sophomore Muhamed Prijic got the ball in front of freshman Eric Rodriguez, who took a quick kick and got it into the net. 

The Pioneers answered with their third and final goal of the game with 14 seconds left on the clock.

Forester goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski was in the net for the first 45 minutes of the game, and junior Giuseppe Scalera came in for the last 45 minutes. The two goalkeepers combined for six saves.

This was the final game for the class of 2022, and the seniors were honored at the beginning of the game.
