Foresters Lose to Cornell in Overtime

The Lake Forest men's soccer team dropped their match against Cornell College 2-1 on Saturday.

The Rams were on the board first with a goal in the final seconds of the 18th minute.

Forester senior Connor Keast was able to tie the score 1-1 with his third goal of the season coming off a pass from fellow senior Frank Janicke Permanyer early in the second half.

The game went into overtime, where Cornell was able to get one around Forester goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski to win the game. The goal came at the 98:21 minute mark.

Mocarski had three saves in game, which brings his season total to 66, only two shy of breaking into the team's top 10 all-time list for most saves in a single season.

The Foresters are now 4-10-1 overall and hold a 4-2 conference record. Cornell sits at 12-2 overall and 5-0 in league play.

Lake Forest will take to Farwell Field on Monday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. against Carleton College.
