Foresters Take Down Buccaneers

Lake Forest men's soccer took the lead early and held onto it throughout their match against Beloit College on Wednesday.

Freshmen Eric Rodriguez got the scoring started for the Foresters when he put the ball past the Beloit goalie off an assist from senior Connor Keast in the 11th minute of play. Sophomore Muhamed Prijic scored his own unassisted goal at the 31:25 mark; it was his first goal of the season and was the official game-winner. Less than nine minutes later, Keast added his own tally mark to the score. The Foresters led 3-0 at half.

Early in the second half, senior Teddy Kolesnikov was able to add his own goal to the Foresters lead when he found the back of the net off a penalty kick. 

Beloit brought the final to 4-1 when they were also able get a goal off a penalty kick.

Sophomore goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski adds anohter win to his record. His goals against average now sits as .72 and his save percentage is .727.

Lake Forest is now 3-9-1 on the season and 2-1 in league play. Beloit moves their record to 3-5-1 and 1-2 against Midwest Conference opponents.

The Foresters return to Mohr Field on Saturday, October 9 at 1:30 p.m. to compete against Illinois College. The game will be the team's parents' day.
