Foresters Come Out on Top Against Red Hawks

Sophomore Elliot Hull scored a hat trick in Lake Forest men's soccer's game against Ripon College on Wednesday. The Foresters won the game 5-1.

Hull put the Foresters on the board at the 24:43 mark off a penalty kick. He scored twice in the second half of the game, in the 72nd minute and in 78th minute of play. All three of his goals were unassisted. This marks the first career goal for Hull and his first hat trick for the Foresters.

Sophomore Mickey Sanchez also scored his first career goal during the game and scored twice in the game. The first time was within in the first six minutes of the second half off a pass from senior Connor Keast. He scored again off an unassisted kick from the side of the goal at 50:44.

Lake Forest out-shot Ripon College 23-4 with 16 of the Foresters' shots being on goal. Hull led the team in shots with five. 

The Foresters are now 1-9-1 in the season and 1-1 in Conference. Ripon College has a 2-8-1 and 0-2 in the Midwest Conference.

Lake Forest plays again on Saturday, October 2 against Monmouth College at 1:30 p.m.
