Foresters Come Up Short Against North Park in Home Opener

The Lake Forest College men's soccer team fell 4-1 against North Park University in their home opener and first game of the 2021 season on Wednesday.

Lake Forest was the first to get on the board when sophomore Rayan Khalid netted his first career goal as a Forester in the 14th minute of play. He was assisted by fellow sophomore Muhamed Prijic.

The lead was short-lived when the Vikings answered with their own goal a mere 21 seconds later. North Park scored once more in the first half and earned an additional two goals in the last 45 minutes of the game.

The Forester goalie, sophomore Szymon Mocarski, held North Park to only four goals and recorded a career high 10 saves during the game.

Lake Forest will play again on Saturday, September 4 against Pacific Lutheran College at Colorado College.
