Junior Alen Hataric was one of three Foresters to score for the second day in a row as the team posted a 5-2 victory at Ripon College on Sunday.

Hataric accounted for Lake Forest's only goal of the second half, giving the visitors a 5-0 lead at the 66:55 mark. His first score as a Forester had come just one day earlier.

Lake Forest senior Lucas Geib started the scoring less than two minutes into the game with fellow senior Gaston Aubert picking up his team-high 10th assist of the year. Junior Tate Rosenhagen's corner kick set up sophomore Johnny Presberg's first career score at the 8:39 mark and a header by senior Marcos Hernandez made the score 3-0 after just 18 minutes. Sophomore Griffin Mitchell assisted Hernandez, who, like Hataric, scored his first career goal on Saturday. An unassisted tally by junior Joao Godoy at 26:51 closed out the scoring in the first half. It was his second of the year.

Ripon finally got on the scoreboard with a pair of goals in the final 20 minutes.

Lake Forest had a 34-9 edge in shots on the day.

Forester junior goalkeeper Jan Roessler played the first 72 minutes and freshman Giuseppe Scalera the final 18. Both made a save and surrendered one goal.

The victory left Lake Forest with a 9-7-1 overall record and a 7-1-0 mark in Midwest Conference play. Ripon fell to 1-14-1 overall and 0-7-0 in the league.

The Foresters will close out the regular season at Lawrence University next Saturday at 2:30 p.m. They have already clinched a spot in the four-team MWC Tournament the following weekend and are tied for first place in the conference standings with Knox College, who holds the head-to-head tiebreaker.
