Knox Hands Foresters First MWC Loss of the Year

The Lake Forest College men's soccer team's eight-game winning streak in Midwest Conference play came to an end on Sunday after the Foresters fell 2-0 at Knox College.

The Prairie Fire took the lead at the 14:27 mark and led 1-0 at halftime despite being outshot 8-5 in the game's first 45 minutes.

The home team had a 10-3 edge in shots after halftime and added an insurance goal at 66:10.

The loss evened the Foresters' overall record on the season at 7-7-1 and dropped their league mark to 5-1-0. Knox improved to 11-3-2 overall and 6-1-0 in the conference.

Lake Forest will play its final home game of the regular season against Illinois College next Saturday at 1:30 p.m. It will be Senior Day for Marcos Hernandez, Lucas Geib, Alex Armas, Gaston Aubert, Ryo Kanesaka, and Jack Carlson.
