Lake Forest College soccer players Jack Carlson and Gaston Aubert were named Midwest Conference Defensive and Offensive Performers of the Week, respectively, on Monday after leading the Foresters to a pair of victories to open league play over the weekend.
Aubert scored the first goal of both contests, a 2-1 triumph over visiting Grinnell College on Saturday and a 3-0 win over Cornell College at home on Sunday. His score against Grinnell came in the 25th minute and he came up with his team-high seventh score of the season just 70 seconds into Sunday's contest.
Carlson played every minute of both games at the center back position and helped the Foresters limit the two opponents to a total of nine shots on the weekend. He also scored his first career goal on a header off a corner kick late in the game on Sunday.
