Senior goalkeeper Tero Elias made four saves and several other potential goal-preventing plays but the Lake Forest College men's soccer team was edged out 1-0 by visiting Knox College on Sunday.

The Prairie Fire scored the only goal of the contest six minutes into the second half.

Knox had a 5-1 advantage in shot attempts in the game's first 45 minutes and the Foresters out-shot their guests 9-5 after halftime. The Prairie Fire finished with a slight 5-4 edge in shots on goal and has seven corner kick opportunities to Lake Forest's four.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record to 7-6-1 and Midwest Conference mark to 3-3-0 while Knox improved to 11-3-1 overall and 6-1-0 in the league.

Lake Forest will travel to Illinois College next Saturday for a 11:00 a.m. kickoff.
