Lucas Geib Named MWC Offensive Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College men's soccer player Lucas Geib was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in a pair of victories over the weekend.

Geib, a junior forward, had three goals and two assists in the Foresters' 5-0 season-opening triumph over visiting Concordia University Chicago on Friday. After setting up the game's first goal, he scored twice before halftime and once early in the second period. He also set up the game's final tally in the 50th minute for his eighth point of the contest. Geib, whose previous career-high for points in a game was three, is the first player in program history to assist on multiple goals during a hat trick.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Westminster University 3-1 on Sunday and Geib's goal at the 86:05 mark closed out the scoring and essentially clinched the victory for the home team.

Geib now has 38 career points on 16 goals and 6 assists in 39 games.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information and social media intern.
