Junior forward Lucas Geib contributed to every goal in the Lake Forest College men's soccer team's 5-0 victory over visiting Concordia University Chicago Friday in the season opener for both teams.

A cross from Geib was headed in by senior forward Gaston Aubert to start the scoring just 8:33 into the contest.

Geib then betted his first score of the year of the year on a header of his own less than 10 minutes later. Freshman forward Alex Armas assisted on the score for his first career point. The same two players accounted for the Foresters' third goal when a lead pass up the middle of the field from Armas reached Geib, who beat the goalie at 34:09 for his first career multi-goal performance.

Lake Forest attempted seven shots to the Cougars' three in the first half before out-shooting the visitors 16-0 in the final 45 minutes.

A Concordia Chicago handball in the box gave the Foresters a penalty kick less than three minutes into the second half and Geib converted for his first career hat trick. Less than two minutes later he became the first player in program history to record multiple assists during a hat trick when he set up freshman forward/midfielder Erik Truitt's first goal as a Forester.

Geib's eight points on the day match the fifth-highest single-game total in team history.

Forester senior goalkeeper Tero Elias kept the Cougars off the scoreboard for his sixth career shutout. He is now tied-for-fourth in program history with 20 career victories.

Lake Forest will be in action on Farwell Field again on Sunday when the team hosts Westminster College at 1:00 p.m.
