Junior defender Jakub Opiola accounted for two of the team's goals in a 4-3 loss at Benedictine University on Saturday.

Opiola's first goal of the season at the 11:05 mark gave the visitors the early lead. He was assisted by senior forward John Cappuccitti.

After the Eagles tied the score at 13:58, Lake Forest regained the lead less than a minute-and-a-half later on junior forward Gaston Aubert's second goal of the year.

Benedictine drew even again at the 28:50 mark but the Foresters pulled ahead again just 36 seconds later on Opiola's second score of the afternoon.

Despite being out-shot 9-8 Lake Forest led 3-2 at halftime.

The home team tied the score for the third time less than five minutes into the second half and then scored what turned out to be the final goal of the contest at the 53:06 mark. The Eagles attempted 11 shots to the Foresters' five in the final 45 minutes.

Lake Forest is now 2-3-1 this season while Benedictine improved to 5-2-0.

The Foresters wil be back at home on Sunday when the team hosts former Midwest Conference rival Carroll University. The game will begin at 2:00 p.m.
