Lake Forest College men's soccer player Tero Elias was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday after posting a pair of one-goal victories last week.
Elias made two saves in the first half and three in the final 45 minutes of the Foresters' 2-1 triumph over Trinity International University at home on Thursday.
Despite being out-shot in the contest, Lake Forest prevailed 1-0 at Concordia University on Saturday. Elias stopped both of the Falcons' shots on goal in the opening period and all four in the second for his second career shutout.
Elias is now 2-1-0 and has stopped 26 of 28 shots on goal this season.
