NSCAA Names Three Foresters All-North Region

Lake Forest College soccer players John Cappuccitti, Ellis Rutili, and Elyas Ingram were named Third Team All-North Region Thursday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Cappuccitti, a junior midfielder, finished the season with 29 points on 11 goals and seven assists. He was named Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league in points and goals per game. Four of his scores this season were game-winning goals.

Rutili, a senior midfielder, scored seven goals and assisted on two others for 16 points in as many games this season. He was also a First Team All-MWC selection last month after earning Second Team honors last season.

Ingram, a junior defender, led the team and conferfence with 10 assists on the season. He became a three-time All-MWC honoree after the season and, like Cappuccitti and Rutili, is a first time all-region selection.

Lake Forest finished the 2016 season with an 11-8-0 overall record and captured the 17th conference title in team history with an 8-1-0 mark in league play.

The Foresters have now had 11 all-region selections in the last five years.
