Lake Forest Climbs into Regional Rankings

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its weekly rankings on Tuesday and the Foresters were listed 10th in the North Region.

Lake Forest finished the regular season with an 11-7-0 overall record and captured the team's third Midwest Conference championship in the last five years and the 17th title overall with an 8-1-0 record in league play.

Along with the conference championship comes the right to host the MWC Tournament this weekend. The Foresters will face Grinnell College in Friday's 11:00 a.m. semifinal and Knox College will take on St. Norbert College in the other semifinal at 1:30 p.m. The tournament final is scheduled for Saturday at noon with the winner earning the leage's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The University of St. Thomas sits atop the North Region rankings, followed in order by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of Dubuque. Loras College is ranked fourth and Luther College rounds out the top five.
