Lake Forest College men's soccer player Lucas Geib was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after scoring a goal in both of the team's games over the weekend.
Geib, a freshman forward, netted his first career goal with 2:40 remaining in the Foresters' 2-1 loss at Knox College on Saturday.
His second collegiate score came almost exactly 24 hours later and all but clinched Lake Forest's 2-0 triumph at Monmouth College on Sunday.
Both goals were unassisted.
The split of conference matches kept the Foresters alive in the pursuit of the 2016 MWC championship. Lake Forest is now 6-1-0 in league play this season and trails only 6-0-1 Knox in the standings. Each team has two conference games remaining.
