Lake Forest College men's soccer player John Cappuccitti was selected as Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday for his performance in the team's 7-2 victory at Lawrence University on Sunday.

Cappuccitti, a junior midfielder, scored two goals and assisted on four others for the program's first 8-point game in 25 seasons. He put the Foresters on the scoreboard just 2:34 into the contest and assisted on the visitors' second goal at 11:42. After the Vikings cut the lead in half, Cappuccitti scored what turned out to be the official game-winning goal at the 32:03 mark. He set up each of the next three scores and became just the second player in team history with at least four assists in a game.

Cappuccitti now leads Lake Forest with five goals, five assists, and 15 points on the season. He also ranks first in the conference with 11 points during league play.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the MWC Director of Media and Information.
