Senior forward Bjorn Trail-Johnson finished off a four-goal first half and the Forester men's soccer team defeated visiting Coe College 4-0 on Saturday.

Trail-Johnson's goal was the first of his career and was assisted by sophomore forward Gaston Aubert at the 33:28 mark.

Lake Forest had taken the early lead on sophomore midfielder Sal Gloria's first goal of the season 10 minutes and 32 seconds into the contest.

Sophomore forward Amar Korac scored his first goal as a Forester just four minutes later with junior forward Finnian Bunta assisting.

Lake Forest's third goal was unassisted and accounted for by senior midfielder Ellis Rutili at the 24:10 mark.

The Foresters out-shot the Kowawks 12-2 in the game's first 45 minutes and 8-1 in a scoreless second half.

While neither Lake Forest sophomore goalkeeper was forced to make a save, started Tero Elias and Elvin Husetovic kept Coe off the scoreboard in 45 minutes of play apiece for the team's first shutout of the year.

The Foresters improved to 2-3-0 while Coe fell to 0-3-0. The teams were competing in the 2016 Associated College's of the Midwest Soccer Showcase.

Lake Forest will travel to Augustana College for another non-conference game Wednesday evening at 5:30.
