The Lake Forest College men's soccer team posted a 5-0 shutout of Augustana College at home on Friday. Junior midfielder Ellis Rutili gave the Foresters the early lead and was one of four players on the team to score for the second time this year.

Rutili blasted a shot past the Augustana goalkeeper from 30 yards away less than four minutes into the contest. Just two minutes passed before senior forward Dylan Hartman also kicked a bouncing ball past the Viking goalie for his second goal of the season.

Sophomore defender Elyas Ingram set up the Foresters' third goal, carrying the ball up the right side of the field and into the box before crossing it to sophomore midfielder Finnian Bunta for the score, his second of the season. Sophomore forward John Cappuccitti replaced Bunta in the lineup immediately after the goal and netted one of his own less than seven minutes later. He gained control of a loose ball just in front of the Viking goal and kicked it in to match Rutili, Hartman, and Bunta with his second score of the year.

Senior midielder Themis Mourikes closed out the scoring on a free kick with just 29 seconds remaining in the first half.

Lake Forest was actually out-shot 8-6 in the first 45 minutes and both teams attempted five shots in a scoreless second half.

Forester freshman Elvin Husetovic made three saves in his first career shutout.

The victory raises Lake Forest's record to 2-0-0 on the season while the Vikings fell to 1-1-0.

The Foresters will play on the road for the first time this year when they travel to Webster University next Friday for a 5:00 p.m. contest.
