The Forester men's soccer team was unable to get on the scoreboard in a 1-0 loss at Monmouth College on Saturday. Lake Forest will look to rebound in Sunday's contest at Illinois College.
Monmouth scored the game's only goal at the 54:48 mark on the Fighting Scots' only shot on goal in the entire contest.
The Foresters attempted three shots in the first half and two in the second. All five were on target but saved by the Monmouth goalkeeper. The Scots had four shots on the day.
The loss drops the Foresters' overall record on the season to 5-8-2 and their Midwest Conference mark to 4-2-2. Monmouth is now 7-7-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the league.
Lake Forest will be back in action on Sunday at Illinois College at 11:00 a.m.
