Ethan Guenther and Dylan Hartman Sweep MWC Performer of the Week Awards

Lake Forest College men's soccer players Ethan Guenther and Dylan Hartman were named Midwest Conference Defensive and Offensive Performers of the Week on Monday for their performance in a pair of 1-0 victories in the previous seven days.

Guenther, a senior goalkeeper, recorded five saves in the Foresters' victory at Carroll University Wednesday night. Hartman, a sophomore forward, netted the game's only goal with exactly 19 minutes to play in regulation. The victory made Lake Forest the only MWC team without a loss in conference play.

Hartman also factored in the scoring when the Foresters won at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the sixth-ranked team in the North Region, on Saturday. He assisted on the game-winning goal with just 37 seconds remaining in the contest. Guenther tallied four saves in his second straight shutout.

Guenther is now 3-2-0 with a 0.87 goals against average and .871 save percentage on the season. Hartman has scored four goals and added an assist in five games on the year.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director. Hartman also earned the award last week and Guenther received it twice last season.
