Lake Forest Suffers Fifth One-Goal Loss of the Season

The Forester men's soccer team fell 1-0 at the University of Chicago on Tuesday. The loss drops Lake Forest's record to 5-5-0 with each of the five losses being by a single goal.

Lake Forest put nine shots on goal in the game and had a pair of attempts carom off the post or crossbar.

Chicago only shot on goal in the second half found the net with 10:20 to play in the contest.

Forester junior goalkeeper Ian Taylor made five saves in the first half but fell to 4-3-0 with a 0.68 goals against average and .800 save percentage on the season.

The Maroons had a slight 14-13 edge in shot attempts in the opening period. The Foresters had the better of the play in the second half, outshooting the home team 8-6, but were unable to score a goal for just the second time this season.

Chicago raised its record to 5-2-1.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play at Ripon College Saturday afternoon at 3:30.
