Foresters Prevail 2-1 at Dubuque

The Lake Forest College men's soccer team posted a 2-1 victory Friday night at the University of Dubuque. Forester senior Jordan Hartman netted the game-winning goal with 22 minutes remaining in the contest.

It was Hartman's second goal this season and the 14th score of his career. He was assisted by junior Kyle Kraus.

The Foresters took the lead for the first time in the game when senior Mahir Mameledzija headed in a cross from classmate Steven Johnson at the 39:57 mark. It was the third goal of the year for Mameledzija, who now trails 1971 graduate Bryan Porto's school record of 61 career goals by just five.

Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Ethan Guenther made three saves to earn the victory in his season debut.

The Foresters will continue non-conference play at home against the University of St. Thomas Sunday afternoon at 3:30.
