Foresters Play to Scoreless Tie at Edgewood

The Lake Forest College men's soccer team tied host Edgewood College 0-0 Wednesday night. The Foresters are now 3-1-1 on the season and will begin Midwest Conference play next weekend.

Lake Forest outshot the Eagles 6-5 in the first half and 7-3 in the second. Both teams attempted a pair of shots in the first 10-minute overtime period and one in the second.

The Foresters put seven shots on goal while senior goalkeeper Ethan Guenther needed just three saves to record his first shutout as a Forester. He is now 1-0-1 and has not allowed a goal in more than 142 minutes this season.

Lake Forest will play its MWC opener against Grinnell College at home next Saturday. The game will begin at 1:30 p.m. The Foresters will also host Cornell College Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
