Lake Forest College's Bobby Ojascastro was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after scoring a career-high six goals in Saturday's 16-14 triumph at the University of Dubuque.
Ojascastro assisted on the game's first goal less than a minute into the contest and scored one of his own in the opening quarter. The Foresters led 6-1 after 15 minutes of play and 9-6 at halftime after Ojascastro struck twice more to match his previous career-high. In the third quarter Ojascastro's fourth of the day gave the visitors a 10-9 edge and his fifth tied the score at 11. Lake Forest entered the final period ahead by a goal and Ojascastro doubled that advantage with 10:06 on the clock.
Both teams scored two more times and the Foresters left Dubuque with a victory over the the top team in the 2023 MLC Preseason Coaches Poll and the only league opponent to defeat them last season.
Ojascastro is fourth on the team with 19 goals and fifth with 26 points so far this season.
