Rubright and Murphy Earn MLC Player of the Week Honors

Lake Forest College's Bode Rubright and Conor Murphy were named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive and Co-Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, on Monday for their performance in the Foresters' 22-3 rout of Northland College on Saturday.

Rubright finished with a career-high six goals and added an assist in the contest. The sophomore attacker started the scoring less than a minute into the contest and set up the second goal of the game. He struck twice in each of the first three periods and has already matched his scoring output from last year with 22 goals already this spring.

Murphy and the rest of the Lake Forest defense kept the LumberJacks off the scoreboard for the entire first half and allowed just three scores in the game. The sophomore set a school record with seven caused turnovers and leads the league with 36 this season. He also had five ground balls.

MLC Players of the Week are selected by the league's head coaches. Murphy also earned the award twice last season.
