While the Forester men's lacrosse team did not reached the 19-goal total it did in its first two games of the season, Saturday's 14-1 victory at Beloit College was still quite convincing.

Freshman Mario Florio accounted for half of the visitors offensive output himself on Saturday. It was the program's first seven-goal performance since its rebirth as a varsity sport at the College last year. He scored once in the first and twice in each of the other three quarters and now has nine tallies on the year.

Fellow freshman Brendan Herbert continues to lead the Foresters in goals and assists. He registered his third hat trick in as many games and added an assist at Beloit, raising his point total on the season to 17 (10 goals, 7 assists). Sophomore Luke Bowers also turned in a four-point game with a goal and three assists.

Lake Forest's other three goals came from sophomores Trip Gaston and Bode Rubright and freshman Ryan Dousevicz.

The Foresters scored four times in the first quarter and led 7-0 at halftime. They added four more tallies while allowing one in the third and tacked on three more in the fourth.

Lake Forest sophomore goalie Andrew Widlar stopped four of five shots on goal in the victory.

Sophomore Conor Murphy led the visitors with three caused turnovers and freshman John O'Reilly with three ground balls.

The Foresters will host Illinois Institute of Technology Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
