The Forester men's lacrosse team fell to 1-1 on the young season Wednesday after dropping a 15-3 decision to visiting Adrian College.

The Bulldogs took the early lead but a man up goal by Lake Forest sophomore John Casey tied the score with 8:46 to play in the first quarter. The home team had no response to Adrian's other three goals in the period, however, and trailed 4-1 when they switched directions.

The visitors took advantage of a man up opportunity early in the second quarter and added another tally later in the period to make the score 6-1 at halftime.

Adrian netted five unanswered goals in the third quarter to put the game away.

Forester freshman Will Kerber came up with a pair of scores in the fourth for his second two-goal performance in as many games. The Bulldogs, however. tacked on four more to account for the final score.

Freshman Chas Dean led Lake Forest with five ground balls while classmates Luke Bowers and Conor Murphy added four apiece.

The loss evened Lake Forest's record on the season at 1-1 while Adrian improved to 2-0.

The Foresters will travel just north of the state line to Carthage College on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
