The Forester men's hockey team was defeated 5-2 Saturday at St. Norbert College, the nation's ninth-ranked team.

For the second time in less than 24 hours, the Foresters and Green Knights entered the third period tied, this time at two goals apiece. The home team had taken the lead twice, only to have Lake Forest draw even on goals scored by freshman forward Colin Bella. His first of the day came on a blast from between the circles at 3:02 in the second period. The other came eight minutes later on a shot from the middle of the left circle with his team on the power play. Junior forward Ben Perkins and sophomore forward Jared Gerger assisted on the first goal and the second was set up by a pair of defensemen, senior Scotty Nicholson and junior Connor Scahill.

The home team pulled ahead for the third time at 2:55 in the third and converted a power play opportunity at 11:21. The Foresters pulled their goalie with two-and-a-half minutes left and the Green Knights tacked on another score just 15 seconds later.

Lake Forest had a 29-27 advantage in shots on goal in the contest.

THe loss dropped the Foresters overall record to 6-8-3 and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark to 3-5-2. St. Norbert improved to 11-5-1 overall and 8-2-0 in the conference.

Lake Forest will host Adrian College, the third-ranked team in the nation, next weekend. Friday night's game will begin at 7:00 and Saturday's at 4:00 p.m.
