Lake Forest Unable to Break Through against Bethel

The Forester men's hockey team was defeated 3-0 by Bethel University at home on Saturday.

Lake Forest put a season-high 51 shots on goal in the contest, including 23 in the final period.

The Royals took the early lead just 73 seconds into the game and doubled their lead with 2:07 remaining in the opening period.

The score remained 2-0 until the visitors found the open net with 44.6 seconds to play in the game.

Lake Forest freshman goaltender Dylan Kruss stopped a season-high 37 of 39 shots on goal on the evening.

The Foresters fell to 3-5-3 while Bethel improved to 7-2-1 on the season.

Lake Forest will resume Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play at Finlandia University next weekend. The teams will face off Saturday evening at 5:00 (ET) and again Sunday afternoon at 2:00 (ET).
