Foresters Drop NCHA Opener at MSOE

The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 3-0 at Milwaukee School of Engineering Friday night in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opener for both squads.

The Raiders first two goal came on the power play, one with 2:13 remaining in the opening period and the other 7:02 into the second. The third was an empty net score with 2:18 to play in the contest.

MSOE had a 24-19 edge in shots on goal in the contest, although the Foresters had an 117 advantage in that category in the final period.

Lake Forest freshman goaltender Dylan Kruss made 21 saves on the night and owns a .964 save percentage in two starts this season.

The Foresters were unable to convert on any of their four power play opportunities while the Raiders were 2-for-7 with a man advantage.

The loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record to 2-1-1 while MSOE improved to 2-1-0. The same two teams will face off again in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday night at 7:00.
