2021-22 Schedule for Forester Men's Hockey Released

Lake Forest College announced the 2021-22 schedule for the men's hockey team on Friday.

The Foresters will open the season at home against Saint Mary's University October 29-30 and celebrate Parents Night on Friday.

After a weekend off, the team will being Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play with home-and-home series against Milwaukee School of Engineering (November 12-13) and Aurora University (November 19-20). Lake Forest will be at home against MSOE Friday night and on Saturday versus Aurora.

The Foresters will fly to New York over Thanksgiving break and play at Manhattanville College November 26-27.

League play will resume the following weekend against visiting Finlandia University and the final non-conference games of the season will be played at Bethel University the last day of 2021 and first of 2022.

The annual Border Battle between Lake Forest and Concordia University Wisconsin will be played January 7-8 with Friday's game occurring in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. The Foresters will then host St. Norbert College with Alumni Day and the Peter Taylor Award presentation taking place on Saturday, January 15. After a trip to Adrian College, the team will play another home-and-home series with Lawrence before returning to the Eastern time zone to face Trine University. The final weekend of the regular season will be February 11-12 with Friday night's game being played at Marian University and the Foresters celebrating Senior Night at home on Saturday.

Eight teams qualify for the NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs with the top two in the North and South hosting fellow division members in two-game quarterfinal series the weekend of February 18-20. The single-game semifinals of the tournament are also played within divisions a week later and the final is scheduled for Saturday, March 5. The Harris Cup champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The 2021-22 season will be the first as the Foresters' head coach for Sean O'Malley, who served as an assistant with the team for the last seven years.
