The Lake Forest College men's hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Adrian College on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs took the lead at the 11:19 mark of the opening period and added a pair of goals two minutes apart early in the second. The first tally came on the power play, as did the visitors' empty net goal with 47.7 seconds on the clock.
Shots on goal were even through two periods with both teams putting seven shots on target in the first and 13 in the second. Adrian had a 9-7 advantage in that category during the final 20 minutes.
The loss eliminated the Foresters from NCHA Harris Cup Playoff contention.
Lake Forest will close out the season against Aurora University this weekend with the teams facing off in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse on Friday and at Aurora on Saturday. Both contests will begin at 7:00 p.m.
