Junior goaltender Boyd DiClemente stopped 21 of 22 shots on goal Friday night in Lake Forest's 1-1 tie with visiting Aurora University.

DiClemente's busiest period was the second, when he made a dozen saves to keep the game scoreless.

Lake Forest finally got on the scoreboard at the 14:38 mark of the third when junior defenseman Mark DerManulian's shot from just in front of the Spartans' bench was tipped in by senior forward Austin Aksoy. It was Aksoy's 10 score of the season and DerManulian became the first Forester in a decade to reach the 20-assist mark.

The home team's lead was short-lived, however, as Aurora scored just 36 seconds later.

DeClemente made a pair of saves in overtime, including one on a breakaway, to preserve the tie. He raised his save percentage on the season to .920 and lowered his goals against average to 2.21.

Lake Forest is now 16-4-2 overall and has a one-point lead in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association standings with a record of 13-3-1 in league play. Aurora is now 11-6-5 overall and 7-5-5 in the conference.

The same two teams will face off again Saturday night in Aurora at 7:00.
