Junior Aaron O'Neill was selected as the Forester Athlete of the Week award for his performances in the team's two games versus the College of St. Scholastica this past Friday and Saturday.
During Friday's match-up, O'Neill scored the first two goals of the game during a five-minute power play in the second period. The Foresters prevailed with a 6-1 win over their opponents.
On Saturday, the Foresters won in a shut out against St. Scholastica. O'Neill led the charge in the game, scoring four goals and having two assists. It's been over 11 years since the last six-point performance by a Forester and over two seasons since the program's last four-goal game.
O'Neill was also voted by his teammates as the Peter Taylor Award receipent; he was presented the award before Saturday's game.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. O'Neill was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
