Foresters Tie for League Lead with 16 Players on NCHA All-Academic Team

Seniors George Gerasimou, Charlie Izaguirre, and Billy Kent earned the honor for the third time as Lake Forest College put 16 players on the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Men's All-Academic Team, which was announced on Wednesday.

Gerasimou, Izaguirre, and Kent were joined by classmates Davis DeKorte and Shawn Nelson, who are now two-time members of the league's all-academic team. Juniors George Argiropolous, Drew Cleereman, Louis-Philippe De Courcy, Ryan Kruss, and Bron Loiselle also made the list for the second time while junior Quinton Wunder and sophomores Austin Aksoy, Connor Duncan, Zach Feldman, Tyler O'Neill, and Reed Scahill are receiving their first recognition from the league for their performance in the classroom.

To qualify for the award, players must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30. Marian University matched Lake Forest with 16 of the league's 123 honorees on the men's side.

In addition to tying for the conference lead, the 16 NCHA All-Academic team awards shattered the previous program record of 11 set in 2011 and matched last year.
