Lake Forest College men's hockey player Louis-Philippe De Courcy was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after posting a shutout at the College of St. Scholastica last Saturday.

De Courcy, a junior goaltender, made 35 saves in his first career shutout. He stopped all seven of the Saints shots on goal in the opening period before turning away 13 in the second and 15 in the third. The Foresters scored the only goal of their 1-0 triumph with just 2:39 to play in the contest.

De Courcy is now 1-1-0 this year and his .955 save percentage ranks 11th in the nation.

In addition to earning the College's weekly award, De Courcy was also named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday and was selected to the D3hockey.com National Team of the Week on Wednesday.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
