D3hockey.com National Team of the Week Honors for Louis-Philippe De Courcy

Lake Forest College men's hockey player Louis-Philippe De Courcy was listed on D3hockey.com's National Team of the Week on Wednesday.

The award comes a day after De Courcy, a junior goaltender, was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week. He earned his first career shutout in Saturday's 1-0 triumph at College of St. Scholastica. De Courcy made seven saves in the opening period of the contest, 13 in the second, and 15 in the third. The Foresters scored the only goal of the game with 2:39 to play in the final period and hung on for the victory.

Saturday's game is one of two in NCAA Division III men's hockey so far this season with just one goal and the only one in which the visiting team scored it.

De Courcy, who is now 1-1-0 on the year, ranks among the top 15 in the nation with a 1.46 goals against average and a save percentage of .955.

The D3hockey.com Team of the Week features three forward, two defensemen, and one goaltender.
