Lake Forest College men's hockey player Louis-Philippe De Courcy was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the team's 1-0 triumph at the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday.

De Courcy, a junior goaltender, stopped all 35 shots on goal he faced in the contest, including 15 in the final period. Sophomore defenseman Connor Duncan scored the game's only goal with just 2:39 to play in the game to give De Courcy and the Foresters the victory.

It was the first career shutout for De Courcy, who improved to 1-1-0 with a 1.46 goals against average and .955 save percentage on the young season.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of public relation and sports information.
