Junior goaltender Louis-Philippe De Courcy recorded his first career shutout as the Foresters won 1-0 at the College of St. Scholastica.

There was back-and-forth play between the two teams but no score to show in the first two periods of the contest. The Saints had a slight 20-17 edge on the Foresters in shots during that time.

The third period was filled with power plays for both teams but it was not until the Foresters' last man-advantage of the game that they would strike. Sophomore defenseman Zach Feldman had the puck at the top of the point and worked it to his right to senior forward Billy Kent. Kent dished a cross zone pass to sophomore defenseman Connor Duncan, who wasted no time and snapped a wrister that beat the Saints' goaltender with just 2:39 left on the clock.

"I saw Feldy pass it over to Bill and I tried to find a passing lane cross ice for him. I called for the puck and he put a saucer pass right on my tape and I wanted to get the shot off quick before I was pressured," said Duncan.

The Foresters hung on for just the ninth 1-0 victory in program history.

De Courcy finished the game with 35 saves, including 15 in the final 20 minutes of play. "This game was huge for us to bounce back after last night and get two conference points," he began. "It was good to keep the guys in the game until we caught a break with Dunc's goal. I felt comfortable and saw the puck well all night which made things easier. I'm glad I was able to contribute to this all around team effort."

Lake Forest evened its overall record at 2-2-0 and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark at 1-1-0. St. Scholastica is now 3-1-0 on the season, both overall and in the NCHA.

The Foresters will play host to Marian University next Friday for Parents Day at 7:00 p.m. The team will also take on visiting Lawrence University Saturday evening at 5:00.
