Jack Lewis Playing Professionally in France

Jack Lewis, a forward on the Lake Forest College men's hockey team from 2013-17, has taken his skills on the ice overseas and recently began playing professionally in France's top league.

Lewis signed to play with Rapaces de Gap in the Magnus League, the first division in France, this summer. Gap is currently 4-0-0 and atop the league standings and Lewis has appeared in all four contests. The team's next game is on Sunday against Mulhouse.

Lewis actually began his professional career with the Norfolk Admirals, the East Coast Hockey League affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers, in March after the end of his final season at Lake Forest. He scored one goal in five games with the Admirals.

Lewis was a First Team West All-American, the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Year, and the Foresters' Most Valuable Player last season. He finished his four-year collegiate career with 93 points on 47 goals and 46 assists in 106 contests. Lewis served as the team's captain during his junior and senior seasons.
