Lake Forest Falls to Aurora

Freshman forward Bron Loiselle scored his second goal of the year but the Forester men's hockey team was defeated 4-1 Saturday night by visiting Aurora University.

Loiselle sent a shot from point blank range into the left side of the net to trim the second period deficit faced by the Foresters to 2-1. He was assisted by sophomore forward Billy Kent and senior forward Ian Pichel at the 6:17 mark.

An Aurora power play goal was the only score of the opening period and the visitors doubled their advantage early in the second.

Despite being out-shot 12-6 in the final period, the Spartans added to their lead with a score at 12:56 and an emtpy net goal with 1:13 remaining.

Lake Forest put 39 shots on goal to Aurora's 22 in the contest.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record to 7-14-0 and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark to 5-11-0. Aurora improved to 2-18-1 overall and 2-13-1 in the league.

Lake Forest will open next weekend's series against visiting Finalndia University at 7:30 Friday night and conclude it Saturday afternoon at 4:00.
