An assist by junior forward Justin Pelock extended his point streak to four games but the Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 9-2 at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, the fifth-ranked team in the country, Saturday night.

Pelock set up senor forward Ian Pichel 56 seconds into the second period. Pichel's fourth goal of the season tied the game at one.

Stevens Point regained the lead on a power play goal just 69 seconds later. The home team added five more scores in the period and led 6-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Forester junior forward Jimmy Cusan finally ended the Pointers' run at the 10:41 mark of the third period. His fifth goal of the year was assisted by freshman forward Bron Loiselle.

Stevens Point tacked on two more scores late in the game and improved to 15-4-1 on the season. The Foresters fell to 6-13-0.

Lake Forest will resume Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play with a home-and-home series with Aurora University, the only other NCAA program in Illinois, next weekend. The teams will face off in Aurora at 7:30 Friday night and again in Lake Forest Saturday evening at 7:00.
