The Lake Forest College men's hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, the sixth-ranked team in the nation, Friday night. Sophomore forward Jimmy Cusan scored the Foresters' only goal of the contest.

Cusan's score was his first of the season and trimmed the Stevens Point lead to 2-1 with 4:25 to play in the second period. The Pointers, however, regained their two-goal advantage with just 57 seconds on the clock and added two more scores late in the third to secure the victory.

Four of the home team's five goals on the night were scored in the final three-and-a-half minutes of a period.

The Pointers out-shot the visitors 34-18 over the game's final 40 minutes and 44-28 in the contest.

The non-conference loss dropped the Foresters' overall record on the year to 2-3-1 while Stevens Point improved to 5-1-0.

Lake Forest will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Saturday night for a 7:00 p.m. face-off. It will be the Foresters' fourth consecutive game against an opponent ranked in the top 10 in the country.
