Bobby Barrett Named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

Lake Forest College men's hockey player Bobby Barrett was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for his performance during the Foresters' sweep of visiting Northland College over the weekend.

Barrett, a junior forward, began the weekend with two points in the team's 5-3 victory Friday night. He assisted on a goal that tied the score at two early in the second period and then broke a 3-3 tie with a score of his own with just four minutes to play in the contest. It was his first career game-winning goal and his fourth multi-point game.

Lake Forest routed the LumberJacks 13-2 on Saturday. Barrett assisted on two of the team's first three scores before netting a goal in each period, including a power play score in the third. It was his first career hat trick and the first five-point game by a Forester in four seasons.

Barrett's four-goal, seven-point weekend gave him the team lead in both categories.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's director of sports information and director of public relations.
