The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 4-1 by Adrian College on Saturday. Sophomore Jason McAloon scored the Foresters' only goal of the game in early in the second period.

McAloon's score was his first of the season and came on the power play 51 seconds after the first intermission. Sophomore Bobby Barrett and junior Roberto Caparelli assisted on the goal, which trimmed the Adrian lead to 3-1.

The Bulldogs scored three times in the opening period for the second straight game. The first was a power play score at 4:07 and the second occured just 42 seconds later. The visitors netted another goal at 10:54.

Forester senior goaltender Brendan Sullivan prevented Adrian from scoring again until late in the third period, when the visitors regained their three-goal lead with 5:17 to play. Sullivan, who entered the game after the Bulldogs' second score, stopped 37 of 39 shots on goal in the contest.

Lake Forest fell to 1-6-0 overall on the season and 1-5-0 in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association play. Adrian, the fifth-ranked team in the country, remained perfect at 6-0-0 overall and in league play.

The Foresters will play a non-conference series at Hamline University next weekend. The teams will face off Friday night at 7:00 and again at 5:00 Saturday evening.
